K-1 Boys Basketball Clinic

This clinic is for boys entering Kindergarten through 1st grade. Enjoy the fun of basketball while learning the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork. The clinic is open to the first 30 boys in each grade level. Clinic will be held at the YMCA on Saturday afternoons. This is a 5 week program. All participants will receive a T-shirt and basketball.

Clinic times: Kindergarten – 3:00 – 4:00 pm                              Clinic runs: January 24 – February 21, 2009

                      1st graders –     4:15 – 5:15 pm

Registration deadline: January 16, 2009 or once clinic fills.               

 

2nd – 5th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball Leagues

This is a new league. We will be running a winter basketball league for boys and girls. This is a non-competitive league, coached by volunteers. Through the games and practice times, each player will learn fundamental basketball skills, the importance of teamwork, fair play and develop relationships with their teammates. Practices will be held once a week and games will be played at the YMCA on Saturdays. Teams will be put together by schools, grade level and past participation. This year score will be kept in 4th/5th grade with a small tournament on the last day of games. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and trophy.

Season runs: January 24 – March 7, 2009

3rd Grade Volleyball Clinic

Girls will learn the fundamentals of volleyball. Clinic will run 5 weeks on Saturday afternoons at the YMCA.

Clinic: 3:00 – 4:00 pm               Clinic runs: January 24 – February 21, 2009

4th/5th Girls Volleyball Leagues

Girls will continue to learn the game of volleyball. Participants will be placed on teams according to school location, and past participation. Teams will be limited to 10 players per team and only 10 teams in league. Once league fills or games start registration will close. Practice will be held one night a week at the YMCA and games will be played on Saturday afternoons at the YMCA.
